Skin Checks & Surgery
Skin checks and surgery in Newcastle
A regular skin check is one of the most effective ways to identify skin cancer early. If something needs removing, it is treated here on site. No GP referral required.
Who should have a skin check
We encourage anyone living in the Newcastle and Hunter region to have a skin check, particularly if you:
- Have noticed a new or changing spot
- Have fair skin, or a history of sunburn
- Have a family or personal history of skin cancer
- Work or spend time outdoors
For most people, a skin check every 12 months is appropriate. Your doctor will advise how often you should return based on your skin type and history.
